Mongolia – a short summary of activities

I had a lovely time in Mongolia in early spring of 2024. Mongolia is a cultural wonder, rich in history and related experiences, even though my focus was doing nature related activities, mostly by hiking.
After landing in Mongolia I went out exploring Ulaanbaatar.
The first excursion covered Winter palace, visiting the Turtle rock within the Gorkhi – Terelj national park, Aryabal temple, Zaisan memorial monument, Genghis Khan statue and holding an eagle, as well as visiting the museum underneath the statue.
It was followed by an excursion to Elsen tasarkhai dunes.
I booked a train between Ulaanbaatar and Sainshand towards the chinese border (south-eastwards).
And a ride between Ulaanbaatar and Sukhbaatar towards the russian border (northwards).
