Horseback riding tour in Torshavn

Booking a horseback riding tour in a place such as Torshavn is the only logical thing to do. The environment is unbelievably beautiful and really makes you feel comfortable and happy to be there, so riding a horse through it is a cherry on top – I have spent almost 2 hrs in the northeastern part of the town riding a beautiful ginger icelandic horse.

The area is tree-less and empty, you are basically gliding through a green vast space interrupted by stones and boulders of various sizes.

The horse was at first quite stubborn and the guide insisted that I use the whip each time she misbehaved, but being someone who truly loves and respects the animals, and who truly thinks that riding horses is a privilege and not slavery, I avoided whipping her. After some time, she did let loose, and we had a lot of fun together in this beautiful environment.
